Personal Statement

I love Youth and Government because this program gives us—the next generation—the opportunity to confront local issues. We are encouraged to come up with our own solutions and argue them in front of critical peers. This is amazing for our personal development, learning to speak confidently in front of a crowd, and it also informs so many youth about the process that governs how we live our lives in New Mexico. I would love to lead this program, which has opened my eyes to new opportunities, and—with your feedback—make NMYAG even better than it already is. As your Youth Governor, I promise to be diligent and receptive, so together we can make the 2026 conference a big success!
